TOLSTOY AND THE COURSE OF HISTORY: a lesson by Andrei Zorin | March 31, 2026

On Tuesday, March 31, at 12:00 p.m., Professor Andrei Zorin (University of Oxford) will hold a lecture in the Aula Magna of Palazzo della Sapienza. The lecture will focus on the influence of the events surrounding the Decembrist uprising on Tolstoy’s seminal novel, War and Peace.

The lecture will be introduced by Professors Cinzia Cadamagnani and Marco Sabbatini (University of Pisa).
