The Centre for Advanced Humanities in Russian and Slavic Studies – CARMS – at the Department of Philology, Literature and Linguistics of the University of Pisa promotes and implements research, teaching, and third mission activities in the field of Slavic studies, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The center coordinates scientific projects, high-level dissemination initiatives, cultural events, and the management of bibliographic resources, strengthening ties between universities, schools, the business world, and the local community.

  • DOVLATOV: film screening | May 19, 2026

    On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 3:30 p.m., the film Dovlatov: The Invisible Books will be screened in its original language in the CARMS classroom. The 2017 film, directed by Aleksej German Jr., portrays six days in the life of journalist and writer Sergej Donatovič Dovlatov in 1971 Leningrad.
